Preventing Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking

StagBoiz works to combat modern slavery and human trafficking. We are committed to building the safest digital media platform in the world, and StagBoiz does not tolerate any human trafficking or exploitation on our platform, in our partnerships, or in our supply chain.

What is modern slavery?

Anti-Slavery International describes modern slavery as, "the severe exploitation of other people for personal or commercial gain... Modern slavery can take many forms including human trafficking, forced labor, debt bondage/bonded labor, descent-based slavery, slavery of children and forced and early marriage."
Modern slavery is not permitted, facilitated, or tolerated on StagBoiz. We have a number of tools, policies, and procedures designed to detect and prevent any attempt to use StagBoiz for this purpose. These are outlined in our Anti-Modern Slavery & Anti-Trafficking Statement, which you can find here.

What is human trafficking?

Anti-Slavery International describes human trafficking as "the use of violence, threats or coercion to transport, recruit or harbor people in order to exploit them for financial or personal gain. This can include forced prostitution, labor, criminality, marriage, or organ removal... People don’t have to be transported across borders for trafficking to take place."
Human trafficking is not permitted, facilitated, or tolerated on StagBoiz. We implement various tools, policies and procedures designed to detect and prevent any attempt to use StagBoiz for this purpose. These are outlined in our Anti-Modern Slavery & Anti-Trafficking Statement, which you can find here.

How does StagBoiz work to identify modern slavery and human trafficking?

Slavery and human trafficking can be difficult to identify. We closely inspect images, text, and sound files to look for possible indications of force or coercion. We also use IP tracking to determine upload locations and patterns. In this way, our technology and our people work together to report suspected modern slavery and human trafficking. When suspected, we pass this information to law enforcement and non-governmental organizations (NGO) to help identify the perpetrators.
StagBoiz continually assesses modern slavery and human trafficking risks in our business environment through identifying and analyzing higher-risk areas of our business. Our assessment is based on external reports and standards, and country and sector risk profiles, and we adjust our processes and controls, as appropriate, based on changing risks.

How does StagBoiz deter modern slavery or human trafficking?

StagBoiz takes all reasonable and appropriate steps to ensure that there are no modern slavery or human trafficking activities taking place on our platform, in our business, or in our supply chain. Our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy make it clear that we do not allow the uploading, posting, displaying, or publishing of content on StagBoiz that:
  • shows, includes or refers to any other individual unless written consent is obtained from each individual to use their name or images (or both) in the Content; or
  • shows, promotes, advertises or refers to escort services, sex trafficking, or prostitution.
We also strive to hold our employees and suppliers to high standards. Any violation of our standards by an employee can result in disciplinary action, including termination of employment. Any violation by a supplier can result in contract termination.
In addition, Creators and Fans are not anonymous on StagBoiz. StagBoiz does not use end-to- end encryption. Everything on the platform is visible to our team of trained reviewers. There are no "hidden" posts, "secret" areas, or disappearing messages. We can review any content shared on StagBoiz at any time, including direct messages. This means that we can identify and report anyone who appears to be engaged in modern slavery or human trafficking.

What happens when StagBoiz finds suspected modern slavery or human trafficking on its platform?

If any user does try to engage in modern slavery and human trafficking on our platform, we know who they are, we report them to law enforcement and NGOs, and we ban them from StagBoiz.

Does StagBoiz’ subscription model enable modern slavery or human trafficking?

No. Our subscription model makes it more difficult for people to engage in modern slavery and human trafficking.
To subscribe to content, or to post content on StagBoiz, users need to pass our strict identity verification checks. Unlike many other digital media platforms, this means we know the legal identity of all our users. No one can post anonymously on StagBoiz.
Because our users are not anonymous, and we do not have end-to-end encryption, StagBoiz users are less likely to try to engage in modern slavery and human trafficking. If any user does try to engage in modern slavery and human trafficking on our platform, we know who they are, we report them to law enforcement and NGOs, and we ban them from StagBoiz.
